Alternative development schemes should always be
considered and the Scenario Manager makes it easy to compare and
rank those schemes. In this case a deepwater spar development is
being considered with 1 MODU and an alternative, 2 MODUs,
accelerates production thereby increasing value. Risk & uncertainty
has not yet been considered, however, the team now knows that under
the economic assumptions considered in this model additional
technical work should be performed to better understand the 2 MODU
scenario.
