Caesar Systems was founded by a twenty-five-year veteran petroleum
engineer involved with project evaluations around the world, including
the Permian Basin, Gulf Coast, North Sea, West Africa, Gulf of Suez,
Arabian Gulf, and the former Soviet Union. Jerry Blinten held numerous
positions with Schlumberger and Amoco, and became quite familiar
with the extensive risks borne with major projects.
While at Amoco Production Company, he began developing a software
tool with a vision: provide full cycle economic risk analysis-considering
all key exploration, engineering, and financial uncertainties-that
would allow higher quality evaluations, greater accuracy, in a shorter
time period.
It was 1996 and major oil producing companies around the world
were "pushing the envelope" for better, smarter ways to
manage their assets. Reengineering the capital management process
was the watchword everywhere and the market was ready for a solution.
That year, Caesar Systems introduced the first fully-integrated
risk analysis software toolsuite, Petroleum Ventures & Risk
{PetroVR}. PetroVR Toolsuite received
rapid acceptance and Caesar Systems now serves the worldwide petroleum
industry with integrated tools and services for the petroleum
manager, geoscientist,
engineer and economist.
Over the past five years, as PetroVR has gained acceptance in many
prominent E&P leaders, Caesar Systems has attracted a talented
team of E&P professionals to develop, market, install and
support the PetroVR Toolsuite. And, as an innovative, growing company,
